ROOFING FAQ
Q: HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE HAIL DAMAGE TO MY ROOF? CAN I TELL FROM THE GROUND?
A: If you have had hail in your area, to determine if the shingles have been damaged, a close inspection of the shingles has to be made from the roof. From ground level it is smart to look at gutters and downspouts as well as window screens for damage.
Q: HOW LONG DOES THE JOB TAKE FOR A FULL ROOF REPLACEMENT?
A: Typically, a full roof replacement is completed in 1-2 days depending on size of home, weather, complexity etc.
Q: DO YOU OFFER FINANCING?
A: Yes. Custom Onside offers financing through a a third party, more information can be found through the financing tab on our home page.
Q: WHAT TYPE OF SHINGLES DO YOU USE?
A: Custom Onside is a preferred contractor with Owens Corning. Although we primarily use Owens Corning, we have access to many different shingle manufactures.
PAINTING FAQ
Q: HOW DO I KNOW WHEN I NEED TO PAINT MY HOUSE?
A: There are quite a few things you can look for around your home that would signal if it’s time to start thinking about painting. First, look at trim around garage doors and handrails. These areas tends to start peeling first. Second, look around windows and check to see if caulking is still in tact. Third, look at your siding for fading, the west and south sides of your home typically are going to fade to soonest.
Q: HOW LONG DOES A PAINT JOB LAST?
A: Typically, 6-10 years. The lifespan of a paint job is determined with the quality of paint but also the quality of the prep process and prep materials. We only use the highest quality products prep materials and paint, partnered with the the highest quality workmanship.
Q: HOW LONG DOES THE JOB TAKE?
A: Most standard 2 story homes will take 3-5 days to complete. Dependent on weather.
Q: DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
A: Yes, we require a 25% deposit before starting the project.
